A Girl’s Adventure

This sculpture shows a girl in a bathing costume who has rescued a creature from the sea.  Quite whether the creature is dead or alive isn’t clear.  Is this a fairy tale where a pearl fisher rescues a merman or is she a pieta?  The figures are made of DAS and the rocks have a Styrofoam core.
