Rapport (Woman with her beloved creature) - Sculpture

These two figures are made of Newclay and Styrofoam.  She is supported by a metal armature.  I wanted to create a rapport between the woman and the creature.  The eyes came from an extraordinary figure that I picked up in a charity shop.  I have given her and the creature the same eyes to emphasise the link between them.  I’m fascinated by drapery so investigating drapery was a large part of this project.
